While I love sitting down for dinner at a fancy schmancy restaurant, I have to admit: fast casual places are my jam. I like being able to order my food and have it 10 minutes later!
So needless to say, Kim Cheese has been on my radar for a while.
And where did the name Kim Cheese come from, you might be wondering?
Makes sense to me!
I came to Kim Cheese (I think I just really like saying that name, so I will probably say it at least a dozen more times in this review) with my good friend Chung.
Chung is one of my good friends from SLU – we both majored in Chemistry, and we were lab partners during our Organic Chemistry class! Fun fun times. Can’t believe it’s been eight years since we graduated! Time flies.
Anyway, Kim Cheese is a cute little spot in Creve Coeur. It’s nestled in a strip mall and neighbors a huge movie theatre, so it’s easy to miss. However, once you get in, you’ll realize the hunt was worth it. It’s so cute!
And I’m a big fan of hand-written menus:
It makes me wish my handwriting didn’t suck so much. 😉
There were so many yummy looking things on the menu, but I had heard really good things about the pork burger, so I ordered that. With fries, of course!
Please excuse the fact that this may be the worst picture I’ve taken in a while. It’s blurry as all get out – can I blame that on the fact that my hands were shaking in excitement and anticipation? Yeah…let’s just go with that.
Chung ordered the Bee Bim Bap with Chicken.
Bee Bim Bap is a traditional Korean rice salad, and this one was topped with cucumber, water fern, carrots, spring mix, zucchini, bean sprouts, bok choi, rice, and a fried egg! Wowza.
We both ordered Kimchi samples:
So much awesomeness on one table. I was squealing with excitement. I may or may not be squealing with excitement right now. #keepingitweird
The food was delicious. I loved my pork burger, and I was very impressed at the large amount of food! All of my grub came out to a little over 10 bucks, and this included a drink!
I would definitely come back to Kim Cheese – there are so many things on the menu that I want to try! I highly recommend it. Tasty food and super inexpensive! Win win win win win. 🙂
See you next week!
