Folgers Perfect Measures

1

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Folgers. All opinions are 100% mine.

There are three things you should (hopefully!) know about me by now:

1. I love food (it’s why I started this blog in the first place!),

2. I love bacon,

3. I love coffee. Like, love love. True love, y’all!

Actually, when I really think about it, it’s scary how much I love the stuff. Thanks to the fact that my office is right by the coffee machine, I drink close to an entire pot in one day. If I’m not drinking it, I’m thinking about drinking it. Hmm..maybe that’s how I manage to survive on so little sleep? #theperksofbeingyoung

So when Folgers invited me to a blogger event to try their new Folgers Perfect Measures product, I was more than game.

It was hosted at Lucas Park Grille, which is downtown on Washington Avenue. It’s a pretty snazzy place!

The event was held in one of the private rooms. I was so excited!

Once we arrived, I grabbed a seat, set my things down, and immediately started snapping pictures of everything. Perfectly normal behavior, right?

One thing I love about blogger events? i’m not the only one taking pictures of everything.

See? Not crazy!

After a bit of mingling, it was time to get to the good part — drinking coffee!

The Perfect Measures coffee is pretty neat — instead of regular ground coffee, they’re little coffee discs! They remind me of the pre-measured pods I use for my laundry.

How adorable.

The little pods make it easy to personalize your coffee. It takes a little bit of experimentation to learn what your ‘perfect cup’ is, but once you’ve figured it out, it’s super easy!

To show how much more precise the pods are, we first scooped out the amount of ground coffee we would normally use in our “perfect” cup of coffee. I like my coffee pretty strong, so I used about three scoops.

I learned that is the equivalent of about three pods. Each pod equals about one scoop. There are five flavors of Folgers Perfect Measures: 100% Columbian, Breakfast Blend, Classic Roast, Classic Decaf, and Black Silk. I chose Black Silk because it sounded neat.

I added water to the coffee machine, and that was it! Before I knew it, I had a cup of yummy coffee. 🙂

Okay, okay. I don’t drink my coffee black. Let’s try this again.

Much better!

I really liked how easy it was to use Perfect Measures. Now that I know that my perfect cup requires three pods, I’ll never have to measure again! I like the idea of not having to dirty a spoon to measure out my coffee. I know that sounds silly, but as someone who resorts to eating my cereal with a fork when I run out of clean spoons, every little bit counts. 🙂

Right now, Perfect Measures is only available in limited markets — Indianapolis, Kansas City, and St. Louis. Here, you can find it at Sam’s Club and Schnucks, but they plan on expanding to other locations soon.

Overall, it was a fun event. I had a lot of fun drinking waaaay too much coffee. Thanks again. Folgers!

See you next week. 🙂

  • Sounds like a fun event. I usually do whole beans and grind them at home, but my office uses Folgers and I think these discs would be perfect for an office. They could put a sign by the coffeemaker to tell everyone how many discs to use for a full pot and then everyone could make decent coffee!
