Done with spicy?

It’s no secret that I love spicy food.

You’ve seen me triumph at Pearl Café’s level 25 Spicy Challenge,

And fail when I tried to beat level 50.

spicy fail

Well, I’m at it again! I just can’t get enough spicy food! Either that, or I have a really hard time turning down food-related challenges. Take your pick. Winking smile

Anyway, my next thrill-seeking adventure took me way out to O’Fallon, MO. The destination? K Pub & Grill.

This was a cute little sports bar tucked into the strip mall. Very unsuspecting. But a little birdy told me about their spicy wing challenge, and I had to try it!

It’s a good thing I had some friends to tackle the challenge with me Winking smile

Just like at Pearl Café, a waiver had to be signed:

After a lot of waiting, the wings finally arrived:

The rules:

– all 10 wings had to be consumed in 10 minutes

No water or dipping sauces could be used while eating the wings

– No sharing!

I took a huge whiff of the wings. My nose immediately started burning, and my eyes started watering too!

My plan of attack was to gobble down the wings as quickly as possible before the heat had a chance to set in.  However, I only made it through one wing before I had to wave the white flag of defeat. Yep, you read that right. One wing. These wings were, hands down, the hottest things I’ve ever eaten in my life. Much hotter than Pearl Café’s level 25 (and even level 50!) Everything these wings touched immediately started to burn. My mouth. My lips. My fingers. It was the most intense heat I’ve ever experienced in my life. I don’t know how anyone managed to eat all ten!

Another spicy challenge failed. I’ve got to turn this losing streak around!

Does anyone know of any other spicy challenges in St. Louis? I’m addicted to the pain!

See ya next week. Smile

I literally laughed out loud (LOUDLY) while reading this post!!! YOU ARE SO FUNNY! I was hoping that you’d get your picture on the wall!!! Man, I admire you for trying, though! Did you finish the one wing? 🙂

Haha, thanks renea! Well, my picture is on the wall now…under the ‘losers’ section! Haha!
      Yeah, I finished one wing…barely!

  • I’m in DC, not St. Louis, but I truly love reading your blog! I am a foodie for sure and your posts are always so entertaining. Sorry those wings punked you! *lol* I couldn’t help laughing at you.
