I’ve been drinking so much coffee lately that I feel like I’m going to turn into a coffee bean. And you know…the more I think about it, the more I think that that wouldn’t be such a bad life. I mean – life as a coffee bean has got to be pretty sweet, right?
I should just get into this review, shouldn’t I?
So I visited Comet Coffee recently. It’s a cute little coffee shop near Forest Park. It’s pretty hidden – you have to really search to find it.
This would be a good spot for a photo of the exterior of the building, wouldn’t it? Too bad I’m a complete goober and forgot to take a picture. Oops! 😉
I DID, however, manage to capture photos of two of my lovely friends who joined me at Comet Coffee:
Hi Charles and Debby! I visited Comet on a whim, and both friends were available for a quick coffee date! My friends are the best. 🙂
Aside from Charles and Debby, I was also able to snap a few photos of the interior of Comet. It’s small, but cozy.
And look at their spread of tasty pastries!
It was really hard to choose, but I ended up going with the Pear, Walnut, and Goat Cheese Scone.
It sounded weird – but I like weird things. It also sounded delicious.
And it was. I like delicious things. 🙂
I also had a cup of coffee, of course! I went with the Tahitian Vanilla Latte – steamed milk, espresso, and homemade vanilla syrup.
Simple, beautiful, and tasty. I wish I knew how to do coffee art, but I can barely draw a straight line, so there’s that.
As we chatted and enjoyed our coffees, I was also able to get a good look around the place. Comet has a few neat contraptions to brew their coffee.
I wish I knew the names of either of these things. I just learned the correct way to pronounce “Chemex,” (spoiler alert: It’s not pronounced “CHEM – EX”) so you’ll have to bear with me on my lack of knowledge on coffee contraptions.
Anyway, I was really impressed with Comet Coffee! If I worked in this area, I could definitely see myself stopping by in the morning for a piping hot cup of coffee. Yum!
Yeah…I definitely want to live my life as a coffee bean.
