Hey-O! Happy Friday! I hope your week was fantastic as mine was! Who’s ready for the weekend?!
It was the blogger meetup that Melissa and I had planned a few weeks back.
I’ve been dying to try Bridge for quite some time now, so I was excited to visit. Really excited.
Let’s jump right in!
Our waitress was super friendly and brought out menus, water, and bread to start us out.
Vegan focaccia bread. While I would never go vegan again (the vegan challenge was enough for me!) I could appreciate Bridge’s effort to accommodate for every palate. Vegan or not, this bread was fantastic! I kept slicing off little hunks to enjoy. It was warm, soft, and absolutely delicious.
While poring over the menu, one thing in particular caught my eye:
Do you see what I see? You all know I’m a bread pudding fanatic, right? And if there’s one thing I love almost as much as my beloved bread pudding, it’s bacon. So to combine the two into a savory hunk of goodness? Sign me up!
This. Was. FANTASTIC! It was creamy, rich, and just a tiny bit salty from the bacon and cheese. In other words, it was heaven on a plate. I devoured every last morsel. It took all I had in me not to lick the plate! SO good.
Friends, meet the Smoky Strip Club. House smoked, thin sliced NY strip, bacon, marinated chicken, fontina, greens, tomato, and basil aoli was on this sandwich. And it was every bit as delicious as it sounds. It was also served with a local favorite: Billy Goat Chips! I adore these chips. They’re perfectly crunchy and flavorful, and paired with the sandwich wonderfully.
The sandwich itself was so big, I could only eat half! Yay for leftovers.
While a bit of my time was spent eating (obviously), I also enjoyed catching up with my favorite local bloggers and social media mavens.
All in all, it was a fabulous night! I will definitely be back to Bridge in the future. I had a great time eating the delicious food, and an even greater time catching up with everyone! Double win.
See you next week!
